Keyword Elite Review
The keyword generation and research software made by Brad Callen,
Keyword Elite , costs US$ 176.
At the time of writing, the version is Keyword Elite v1 3 but it is updated
regularly so by the time you read this, it could be Keyword Elite 1.3 9.1
or something similar.
How do you know if it is worth the price ?
As there is no information available about a Keyword Elite discount from
Brad Callen's landing pages, the only thing left to do is inform yourself
as much as possible about its functionality before you pay the full price.
Unlike most other Keyword Elite reviews, we'll show you the pros and cons
of Keyword Elite to let you decide if it is worthwhile forking out the money
and give you 2 tips to see how the software functions before
you buy Keyword Elite.
Quick breakdown of Keyword Elite.
The software consists of 'projects' or sections which are based on the most common functionality you'll need when researching profitable keywords. They are
- Create A Keyword List
Returns a search list of keywords as found by any of the services below (you can choose one or more of them) Ask.com, Google suggestion tool, Yahoo!, FreeKeywords (Wordtracker), Meta tags, Misspelled Keywords, Optional paid Wordtraker and KeywordDiscovery.
Allows you to limit the number of searches returned.
In the report window, you can edit your list of keywords by excluding phrases or selecting phrases starting with or containing a certain word.
Once you are happy with your list, you can group them into an Ad Group and/or send the list to Project #2 or Project #4 or even create content pages based on those keywords.
The content is extracted from Article Directories. - Analyze Pay Per Click Listings
Enter your list of keywords (or 'send' them from Project #1) and select which search engines you want to hit for analysis (Google, Enhance, Yahoo, Miva).
Select which criteria you want to see on the report (KEI, Title Reports, Top Bids, Anchor Results, Text results) and how you want to match your Google adwords phrases (broad, phrase or exact match).
Lastly enter the Max CPC $ value.
In the report view, you will see each keyword and values for the following columns
(depending on what you selected in the previous window):
Results, Searches, R/S Ratio, KEI, Adwords CPC, Adwords Position, Adwords Clicks and number of Google campaigns.
If you click on a keyword here, you will see a list of website URLs in the bottom window which will show you the top competitors who are bidding for that keyword.
If you then click on that URL, you will see the competitor's ad. - Select A Keyword List
Here you can extract a list of keywords related to your initial phrase which are taken from an internal database.
Again, you can then select the relevant keywords and 'send' them to project #2 or project #4.
The keyword list you will see is extracted from a database of more than 40 000 pre-built keyword lists. - Analyze Keyword Competition
You supply a list of keywords (manually or 'sent' from Projects #1 or #3) and select the number of Google results (competitors) you want to see.
In the results page, you will see how your competition is ranked and how difficult it will be to outrank them.
Find out how competitive a keyword is and how optimized each of the top ranked pages is for that keyword.
(In other words, can you beat the top guys easily ? )
You can also add in any URL manually to check out known competitors who may not be top ranked yet.
In the results page you will see values for the following criteria : PR , No of words on the page, No of times the keyword is repeated, the density %, If and how often the keyword shows up in the title, Links, ALT image tag, Meta Keyword tag, Meta Description tag, how often it is bolded and if it shows up in the H1 headline tag. - Spy on Adwords Competition
This functionality allows you to create a project of certain keywords, for which you want to build competitor history information.
This will open up a window where you can schedule to run the searches so you can keep track of who is competing for a certain keyword over time.
This is valuable as only bidders who are running successful (profitable) campaigns will stay in the top positions for any length of time.
These are the guys you want to emulate or beat.
The information in the results page shows you the keyword, whether the bidder is the owner of the product, an affiliate or a non-affilate, the Title of the ad, the Description of the ad and the URL at the bottom of the ad.
Pros and Cons of Keyword Elite.
Let's start with the negative traits:
- Price
In the salesletter page they try to convince you that all the features in this tool are worth 1000's of Dollars, but we all know this is a pop-psychology trick to convince you of its low price.
I think $176 is a bit high, but if your site's profitability does improve after using Keyword Elite, it will make the price acceptable.
How do you get around this: because it is sold via the Clickbank network, they have to give you your money back if you motivate why you don't want to keep the purchase withing 6 weeks.
Keyword Elite advertises this as their rock-solid money-back guarantee. - No trial version
I don't understand why they do not make a trial version available.
Surely once people start using it profitably, they would love to pay to continue using it ?
As it stands, you can only get the Keyword Elite full license by paying the full price.
When you start the software, it will check in with the licensing server to see if your Keyword Elite License is valid.
How do you resolve this : as above: their 6 week money-back-guarantee.
Buy it, test it and if you don't like it, they must refund you if you ask for it within 6 weeks of purchase.
Alternatively (tip 1) go to their salespage: Keyword Elite salespage and view the online videos showing you how Keyword Elite functions. - PPC-focused The literature around Keyword Elite leads you to believe that the only decent way to make money online is through Pay-per-click campaigns.
- External data sources Keyword Elite sends out queries to external search data sites such as Google, Yahoo and Wordtracker so the speed of the results is based on the speed of those sites.
- Out-of-proportion earnings potential The tool returns information from Google about high-paying keywords when you plan to use Adsense on your site.
- Unrealistic traffic figures This last point is similar to the previous one.
This is not true and I find it irresponsible to plug PPC campaigns to a potentially novice client.
PPC is for experienced internet marketers only.
If you jump into PPC advertising without knowledge or restraint, you could lose money.
It's one thing to try making money on the internet when it's costing you only your time, cheap hosting and domain name purchases, it's quite another throwing money at Google Adwords in the hope of striking it rich without a plan of action.

If the site in question is overloaded then Keyword Elite will be very slow.
At least they have come out with a multi-threaded version which makes the most your computer and internet connection's ability to send and receive traffic.
These figures are based on Google's cost-per-click in their regular search campaigns, not the much lower cost-per-click values that are relevant to the content network (which is where you site lives), so you will be expecting to earn too much if you base your expectations on these numbers.
Solution : never take these figures literally, only use them to compare one keyword to another to determine which is more profitable.
In any one niche with any form of professional competition, you will have a large number of webmasters do searches on the keywords which they target themselves, so you will inevitably see skewed results.
As with the previous point, use the data as a comparison guide.
Postive traits:
- Frequent updates
Keyword Elite is updated all the time and now handles the CAPTCHA forms that are needed to search for your keywords. - Save money
Saves you subscription fees of Wordtracker or Keyword Discovery. - Free ebook
You can get a Free copy of 'The Players Guide to Adwords Domination' from the salespage even if you don't buy Keyword Elite. - Money-back guarantee
Because you buy it through clickbank, (paypal/credit card) there is a money-back guarantee (valid for 8 weeks from purchase) if you are unsatisfied with what it does for you. - Added bonuses on purchase
- Unlimited access to members-only forums
- Access to video tutorials
